This shop is a great find ...

The shop is quite small, but crammed full of artists books as well as other art books.

It's run by Tanya Peixoto and she very kindly agreed to me interviewing her about her shop and motivation in opening it and running it. You can listen to the interview here

There was another customer in the shop at the time so some of it is a little hard to hear, but I've included a transcript

I would highly recommend a visit, although the opening hours are a little restricted - they are on the website. They also sell books online, but there's nothing to beat actually looking at and handling the books in my opinion!

Here are some photos I took of my favourite books in the shop.

This book called Egremont Russet is by Dizzy Pragnell
It consists of enormously thin slices of apple! I love this concept and the
clever way it is bound.
(I liked this one so much that I bought it!)
This final image is of a book consisting of lo-fi black and white images rom the balustrade of Palazzo Soranzo
It's by Van Axel
This is another book by Dizzy Pragnell
This one features various vegetables ...
amongst which are courgettes and savoy cabbage
I think this one on the right is particularly ingenious - inside the case which is coloured and textured to tone with the contents, there is a single, cleverly folded Savoy Cabbage leaf (shown below)

Getting away from the vegetables here is a beautifully delicate watercolour
book, simple and ethereal
